Welcome to the 2025 Million Fathers March Registration
On Friday, September 19, 2025, we invite you to be part of a powerful national tradition—the Million Fathers March—as we celebrate 20 years of fathers leading the way.
What began in 2004 as a grassroots effort to encourage Black fathers and male caregivers to walk their children into school has since grown into a national movement of love, leadership, and presence. Each year, thousands of fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, godfathers, and mentors have answered the call—not just to show up, but to stand up for the future of our children.
This year’s March is especially meaningful. We are commemorating the 20th Anniversary of this historic effort, and we are honored to partner with Chicago’s Black Star Project, where the Million Fathers March began under the vision of Phillip Jackson. Together, we celebrate two decades of impact and recommit to building stronger families, better schools, and more unified communities.
We are also proud to launch the L-Force Civic Engagement Academy, in memory of our beloved friend and colleague, Lawrence E. Wilbon. This new initiative will deepen our civic impact by equipping fathers across the nation to become leaders and changemakers in their communities.
This year’s theme—“Civic Dads in Action: Engaged, Educated, Empowering Communities”—reminds us that fatherhood is more than a role. It’s a responsibility. It’s a movement. It’s a legacy.
