Welcome to the 2025 Million Fathers March Registration
On Friday, September 18, 2026, we invite you to become part of a powerful national tradition as fathers and father figures across the country participate in the Million Fathers March.
What began in 2004 as a grassroots effort encouraging Black fathers and male caregivers to walk their children into school has grown into a national movement grounded in love, leadership, responsibility, and presence. For more than two decades, fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, godfathers, mentors, coaches, and other caring men have answered the call not only to show up for children, but to stand up for their education, their well-being, and their future.
The Million Fathers March honors the vision of Phillip Jackson and the Chicago-based Black Star Project, where this historic movement began. Fathers Incorporated is proud to help carry that vision forward by mobilizing fathers, schools, organizations, and communities throughout the nation.
This year, we continue building upon the work of the L-Force Civic Engagement Academy, established in memory of our beloved friend and colleague, Lawrence E. Wilbon. Through L-Force, fathers are encouraged to move beyond a single day of participation and become active leaders, volunteers, advocates, and changemakers in their schools and communities.
The theme, “Civic Dads in Action: Engaged, Educated, Empowering Communities,” reminds us that fatherhood is more than a title. It is a responsibility. It is a daily commitment. It is the decision to remain present when children need encouragement, guidance, protection, and someone who believes in their possibilities.
By registering today, you are joining fathers and father figures across the country who are committed to walking through school doors, strengthening relationships with educators, supporting children throughout the academic year, and leading with purpose in their communities.
September 18 is the day we march. The greater call is to remain engaged long after the school doors close.
